A theme, seventeen variations, an intermezzo, a finale and a long improvisation. The form was born together with the novel Ologramma. Sette vite per non morire: as in the book the seven lives multiply one inside the other, so the variations follow and contain one another, up to an extemporary finale that is never the same twice.
