Concept 2026: Around the Bunte Blätter
Variations on Schumann's Theme, 170 years after his death
In collaboration with the national magazine “Suonare News”
This concept takes the form of a lecture-recital of about 65-70 minutes, centred on a programme of complete dramaturgical coherence and rarely performed works. The project traces a circular path around a single generating nucleus: Robert Schumann's celebrated theme in F-sharp minor (from the Bunte Blätter, Op. 99). This same theme gives rise to the mirroring masterpieces of Johannes Brahms and Clara Wieck, born of the deep human and artistic bond that united the three composers.
The national presentation and the editorial focus are led by the magazine's editor, Filippo Michelangeli, together with the artist, following the live performance of the repertoire.
